Five nights: Anchorage 2, Seward 1, Anchorage 2

  Day 1-   Arrive into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Local Rep will greet you at baggage claim to assist and transfer you to the Anchorage Hotel. Overnight Anchorage. Meals: N/A                                                                                                                                                                                               

  Day 2-   Today, ride the rails north to the mountain climbing community of Talkeetna. Breakfast included on the train. Meet a local bush pilot. Visit the Ranger Station in town and do a virtual climb of North America’s tallest peak: Mt. McKinley. Return to Anchorage via motorcoach. Overnight Anchorage. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner                                                                                                                                                                                

 Day 3-   Breakfast. Travel the Scenic Seward Byway from Anchorage to the port community of Seward. This afternoon enjoy a wildlife and natural history cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park with special emphasis on watching for local marine life such as: whales, eagles, sea otters, puffins and more. View stunning cliffs and coves. Lunch served on board. Pizza party in Seward tonight. Overnight Seward. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 4-   Breakfast. This morning, enjoy a Puffin Encounter at the Alaska SeaLife Center. Their education department will lead tours discussing this cold-water research facility. Stop for a hike up to Exit Glacier on your way out of town. Then enjoy a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center en-route to Anchorage to see Alaska’s wild life up-close. Upon arrival in Anchorage, dinner is included at a local restaurant. Overnight Anchorage. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner                 

 

   Day 5-  Breakfast. This morning, enjoy a city tour of Historic Downtown Anchorage. This afternoon, enjoy a downtown Anchorage scavenger hunt where Anchorage history, good walking shoes and warm clothing are a must. Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn more about Alaska’s Native culture through dance, tool making, storytelling and exploring six authentic life-sized Native dwellings situated in a wooded area around beautiful Lake Tiulana. Overnight Anchorage. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner                                                                                                                                                                                              

   Day 6-  Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight home (flight booked on own). Bid farewell to your local guide and driver. Meals: Breakfast
