Alaska Sampler Land Tour (sample tour program)

Do you have a group that has to include everything but has no time to do so? Consider this short tour that includes a quick overview of Seward and Anchorage and overnights at Denali National Park and Fairbanks. Be advised that the long day of touring on day one is about ten hours but we keep hearing requests for a quick tour...here it is!

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1
Your Premier Alaska Tours representative will meet you upon cruise ship disembarkation in Seward or Whittier. Heading north, you will tour along the scenic Seward Highway on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. Brief downtown Anchorage city sightseeing with time available for shopping and dining in downtown. Continue along the George Parks Highway to Denali National Park. Visit the Iditarod Headquarters for an in- depth look at this grueling 1,049-mile race before arriving into Denali during the early evening. Overnight at Denali Park.

Day 2
Early this morning, travel deep into Denali National Park on the included, seven hour Tundra Wilderness Tour looking for grizzly bear, moose, caribou, sheep, and other critters. This afternoon, board the Alaska Railroad for the trip northbound to Fairbanks, the largest city in the interior. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Fairbanks. Meals: S

Day 3
This morning, enjoy a brief city tour of Fairbanks to learn about the oil pipeline. Afternoon cruise down the Chena and Tanana Rivers aboard the Riverboat Discovery. Visit a recreated Athabaskan Indian village where natives will teach you about their way of life. Overnight Fairbanks.

Day 4
Transfer to airport for flight connections home.
