Julie Jokinen, Tour Director ManagerJulie Jokinen started her Alaskan adventure in a Denali dinner theater show called, “Cabin Nite” in 1993. Since then, Julie has shared her love for Alaska with folks at the Alaska SeaLife Center, Royal Celebrity Tours and now Premier. She has camped on the Ruth Glacier in the shadow of Denali, jumped into Resurrection Bay in January, and reeled in her own 93 pound halibut. As the Tour Director Manager, she shares her experiences with our talented team of guides.
Brian Shea, Tour Operations ManagerBrian Shea grew up on the East Coast, went to college in the Mid-West, and then migrated north. Brian spent a couple of years after school as a commercial fisherman off of Kodiak Island and then effortlessly made the switch to the Visitor Industry. He has been with Premier Alaska Tours ever since. He loves traveling, but says his favorite part of the journey is always coming home to Alaska.
Christina Colvin, Tour Operations, ManagerChristina Colvin was born and raised in Kasilof, Alaska and lived in the same house for the first 18 years of her life! Christina loves Alaska for many reasons, but the root of all those reasons is because it is the most unique place on the planet with every day and every experience never being the same. We keep her summers busy as a Tour Operations Manager. When she’s not at Premier, you’ll find her outdoors - Hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, camping.
Tim Worthen, CEOTim Worthen got his start in the travel industry at the Alaska Railroad in the 80s. Maybe that’s where he got his love for trains. He and his business partner, Peter, had the foresight to recognize that by providing unsurpassed service and value to Alaska visitors, they could create a solid tour business. Years later, Premier is one of the fastest growing tourism businesses being recognized locally and nationally. Tim believes in providing an atmosphere for individuals to succeed via a team approach.
Peter Grunwaldt, CEOPeter Grunwaldt started his career in tourism as a tour guide aboard the Alaska Railroad in the mid-eighties. Today at Premier Alaska Tours, Peter handles the operational aspects of the team including the negotiations of preferred supplier contracts, equipment purchasing and new business development.
