Explore Glacier/Wildlife Flightseeing Tour

Fly over a Glacier!  Take a Knik Glacier tour and experience a glacier and wildlife adventure. Soar over towering Knik Glacier – the centerpiece of Lake George National Natural Landmark. Redoubt Bay Bear Viewing

Enjoy a guided day tour with the opportunity to view Alaska’s brown bears in their natural habitat. Fly 70 miles southwest of Anchorage to the entrance of Lake Clark Wilderness Preserve, site of Redoubt Bay Lodge and some incredible bear viewing. An experienced natural history guide will take you by boat through bear country. Look for bears as they fish for salmon and don’t forget to watch for other wildlife along the way.

Helicopter & Glacier Dogsled Tour

Imagine yourself and your friends or family members on a helicopter tour to a remote glacier. Drive your own sled-dog team on real snow, meet the new puppies and listen to the stories of the 1,100 mile long Iditarod race. Stand on the runners or sit on the sled with the musher running the team.  Amazing scenery, a 30 minute helicopter tour and our real Iditarod dog mushers and dog team make this the best trip you can do in Alaska and beyond! Drive one hour to Knik and then take a 15 minute helicopter ride to Colony glacier, 1-hour dogsled tour on real snow with Iditarod musher, 15 minute helicopter flight back to Knik, and return shuttle to Anchorage.

Guided Day Fishing

Start with a scenic 40-minute flight from Lake Hood to a river where sport-fishing dreams are made. Upon arrival you will meet your guide who will outfit you with all necessary gear and whisk you away by boat to the prime fishing holes. Lunch included, license available for purchase at office.

Summer Sunset Photo Safari

During this mini photography workshop tour, local, professional photographer guides accompany guests to scenic locations around Anchorage to capture landscapes and wildlife in the best light of the day. The tour moves at the pace of the guests’ interests and may present a variety of subjects to photograph including float planes taking off at Lake Hood, mountain streams, coastal scenes along Cook inlet and Turnagain Arm, Potter Marsh wildlife, sunsets over Anchorage and Cook Inlet from Glen Alps, and an occasional moose. Technical and creative photographic support is provided along the way.

Alaska’s Craft Beer Tour

Come experience the booming Anchorage craft beer scene in style as you join your knowledgeable ‘Hoperator’ for an off-the-beaten path tour of Anchorage full of sudsy and safe fun. Guests are introduced to some of Anchorage’s finest breweries, brewers, beers, and Alaskan characters on this behind the scenes look at the local craft brewing industry. Helicopter Dog Sled Tour

Start with a scenic helicopter flight to our snow-covered glacier camp. Meet the mushers and friendly huskies while learning about Alaska’s most famous race, the Iditarod!

Wilderness Sled Dog Ride & Tour

Learn about the lifestyle of Seward’s own Iditarod racing family and see what it takes to prepare musher and sled dogs for the world’s most demanding race. Tour the racing kennels, cuddle puppies, and climb aboard a comfortable custom wheeled sled for a thrilling two-mile sled ride from the Seavey Homestead to the base of Resurrection Mountain. All tours are guided by Iditarod and Jr. Iditarod finishers.

Visit the Alaska SeaLife Center

The Alaska Sealife Center is dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystems of Alaska through research, rehabilitation, and public education. Visitors to the center watch puffins fly through underwater skies and meet sea lions and harbor seals eye to eye. Learn about octopus, halibut, kittiwakes and more. Open daily 9am to 9pm.

Stoney Creek Canopy Adventure

Valdez Helicopter Glacier Explorer with Landing

Not only will you get to explore multiple glaciers and look for wildlife, but your pilot will also take some time to find the perfect spot to land on one of the glaciers. You get to explore by foot and experience walking on the ice like the early gold miners did. You will have plenty of time to take pictures and drink some of the clean, yummy glacier water. Wear good shoes/boots for this one!

Denali ATV Wilderness Adventure

Get ready for some adventure! Whether a novice or expert ATVer, this tour will be a memorable ride in the scenic Alaskan wilderness on your own Single or Side by Side ATV. Ride on several terrain types – coal mining tails, rocky creek beds, hill climbing, water and mud crossings. Total tour covers about 10 miles, with approx. 1 ½ hours on the trails. Tour length is approx. 2 ½ hours from pick-up to drop-off.

Denali Zipline

This tour takes you to the base of Mt. Deborah with a landing on the Yanert Glacier. While on the ice, you will be able to take in the spectacular views and actually see and feel the wonders of an active glacier. The return flight follows the ridgelines of the Alaska Range and wildlife may be seen on the mountainsides and valleys below. 70 minute tour with 15 minutes on the glacier.

Helicopter – Heli-Hiking Adventure

Lift off from the heliport and enjoy the 15-minute flight to an exclusive hiking area. This is an adventurer’s chance to explore the Denali area up close with a professional naturalist guide. This hiking experience allows one to learn about area flora and fauna as the Alaska Range towers on the horizon.

Fixed Wing Flightseeing

Your six or eight passenger plane will depart from our private airstrip and fly along the Alaska Range into the heart of Denali Park. All seats are window seats, and the tour is fully narrated. Flexible routing allows the pilot to provide you the best views.  90% of passengers see Denali even on days it’s not visible from the road.  Weather permitting, we’ll take you all the way around Denali itself.

Fly Fishing

Fly Fish in Alaska! Experienced or beginner; you will fish for Arctic Grayling and Rainbow Trout on lakes and streams in the heart of the Alaska Range. The catch and release fly fishing package offers both half day and full day opportunities. No experience necessary. Trip includes gear, equipment, transportation. Fishing license additional fee.

Tundra Wilderness Tour

Denali Wilderness Walking Tour

Enjoy a moderate “walk” through local terrain narrated by a naturalist guide, on our most popular tour.  Take an interpretive, guided walk in the Denali area with a naturalist guide who will point out the landmarks and talk about the amazing geology and glacial history of this part of the world. Walk through boreal forests and discover how plants and animals have adapted to the extreme sub-arctic environment. The pace is usually about one mile per hour, as there are frequent stops. The northern land is wild and natural and one needn’t walk far to experience it. Walk in the footsteps of animals, and gain a new appreciation for this far north landscape.

Denali Photography Excursion

Discover how to use your camera like a pro. Learn how to get the best images possible with individualized instruction while surrounded by stunning Denali scenery. Easy activity level.  The Alaska Range provides some of the most spectacular and inspiring scenery on earth. Discover how to use your camera as an instrument while exploring the best of the Parks and Denali Highways. With group sizes limited to 4 participants per trip you will enjoy the luxury of being able to locate, stop, compose, and capture your photo at a pace comfortable for you.

Terry and his team of selected local guides will provide individualized instruction on-site as desired. If you are using your camera in “Auto” or “Scene” modes, you need to take this tour. Learn how to get the best images possible through proper exposure and white balance techniques on any DSLR or pocket camera. Great opportunities for seeing wildlife and “The Mountain” Denali are possible (weather permitting).

Full Day Halibut or Salmon Fishing Tour

Let’s go Halibut or Salmon fishing! You choose one species to target.  Full day adventure in Kachemak Bay seeking out halibut to impress your neighbors back home!  Early morning check-in to purchase your license before you head to the boat for departure to fishing grounds. For those wanting to participate without the work, on board staff assist with baiting the hook and handling the halibut once you bring it up from the ocean floor. A local fish processor can assist with vacuum packing and freezing your fish to send home at an additional cost. Dress in warm, layered clothing and bring along hat, and gloves. Don’t forget your lunch and drinks!

Guided Sea Kayaking Tour

Great for beginning or experienced sea kayakers.  Trip begins with a water taxi ride across Kachemak Bay to the protected waters of the fjords in Kachemak Bay State Park.  Your guide will provide an orientation and assistance throughout the tour.  Spend the day paddling in spectacular scenery with abundant wildlife viewing opportunities.  Single and double kayaks (Necky style) are used and are very stable for beginners.  Bring along warm clothes, light rain gear, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Small or waterproof cameras and binoculars recommended! Includes: instruction, guided adventure, and all transportation.

Peterson Bay Day Tour

Small Group Naturalist Led Intertidal, Forest, Geology, History and Native Culture Exploration.  Take a covered boat ride across Kachemak Bay to the Peterson Bay Field Station, with opportunities to view marine birds and a seabird colony at Gull Island. Once onshore, you will be guided by our expert naturalists on a maintained forest trail system to experience the incredible richness exposed by Kachemak Bay’s extreme tidal changes first hand and a coastal forest ecosystem on the edge of the wilderness. You will view the evidence of the awesome geological forces that shaped the Bay, visit a bog, learn the names and lore of coastal plants, see what prehistoric people have left behind, and have hands-on experiences with the many types of animals from the zone between Kachemak Bay’s tides. You will have time to relax at the Peterson Bay Field Station and have more close-up views of intertidal inhabitants at the Station’s aquaria and live tanks.

Denali Flyer

Explore Denali within six miles of this magnificent sight.  Fly to the remote western end of Denali National Park and see the south side of Denali, Mt. Foraker and Mt. Hunter.  Fly over the winding Kahiltna glacier, the longest glacier in Denali National Park, and continue on to the climber’s base camp located at 7200 feet on the southeast fork of the Kahiltna Glacier.

Denali Climber/Summit Tour with Glacier Landing

There are two ways to the top of Denali, climb the mountain or take the Denali Summit Tour! The most complete and exciting tour of Denali. Your multi-engine, oxygen-equipped aircraft will climb to nearly 20,000 feet for a dramatic view of Denali’s summit and an amazing view of Denali National Park. Feel the excitement only a few mountaineers have experienced – the view from the top of North America’s highest peak.

Jetboat Wilderness Excursion

This exciting jetboat excursion whisks you into the heart of the wilderness in comfort. Upon arrival at the Safari site, you will take a 1/4 mile nature walk to visit an authentic trapper’s cabin. Wildlife, folklore, artifacts, and panoramic views of Denali and the Alaska Range combine to make this an unforgettable and unique Alaskan river adventure.

Talkeetna River Scenic Float Trip

Enjoy a relaxing raft trip take takes place on big glacially fed rivers that feed right out of the Alaskan Range. The rivers are swift and smooth yet calming and serene. On a clear day, enjoy the best views of Denali, the Alaska Range, and surrounding Talkeetna Mountains. Learn about the flora and fauna of this area as you are on the look out for bald eagles, beavers, moose, black bears, and grizzly bears.

Talkeetna Zipline Tour

This unique 3 hour outdoor adventure begins in Talkeetna with a short shuttle ride to the zipline course and a short orientation with the fitting of gear and safety instructions provided by certified guides.  You warm up with four zips (40’, 150’, 150’ & 390’) that are progressively longer and faster.  The fifth zipline segment will move up through the forest, spanning about 360 feet and ending near the top of the ridge in a stand of three Alaska birch trees. The final and longest zip of the tour spans close to seven hundred feet with most of the ride suspended 15 to 30 feet; over the pond, landing on the final platform six feet off the ground, affording an easy stair exit and a short walk to the pickup destination.
